BLACKTOWN RUGBY
WARRIOR E-WEEKLY ISSUE 1
Pre-season Training is under way!
As many will already know, pre-season training started on Tuesday 2 February. The schedule has been a bit disrupted with ground closures due to wet weather, but hopefully we'll be back into a regular routine soon. Due to schedule clashes with Doonside Little Athletics, we will be training on Kareela East Reserve on Thursday 18 February and Thursday 4 March - this is the cricket field on the eastern side of the Knox Rd railwasy overpass (entry is from Eastern Rd near the tennis courts).
Kiama Sevens
As always, Blacktown Rugby will be featuring in the Kiama Sevens on 27 February at, you guessed it, Kiama (south of Wollongong). Club Coach Damon Baffico will be selecting a squad for the Sevens this year and the overnight stay in Kiama is always a highlight of the social calendar.
Pre-Season Trip to Leeton
Blacktown Rugby is planning a trip to Leeton (east of Griffith) to play the Leeton Phantoms on 13 March. It is an overnight trip, with matches in the afternoon following by a bonding session at the local hotel later that night. The details for accommodation and travel are still being worked out, so keep your ears open at training for more details on what promises to be an outstanding pre-season trip.
