Make sure you check the Parramatta Council wet weather line to see in the grounds are open. For grounds that are in other council areas the details are listed in on the website under the Playing Field Status link on the left of the soccer page.
Another reminder upcoming team photos. Make sure you have received your envelope from your team manager and that you get your orders in.
Cross your fingers for the weekend!!
Thanks

U6A v Newington
The little U6's seem to be getting better ever week. We were missing Lucy and Ryan this week and once again we lent a players to our opposition. We spend most of the game at the Newington end of the ground and Georgia and Levi both put two in the net. Ansh did some great work for Newington in the second half as did Thomas. Amelia is gaining confidence each week and is not scared to get stuck in!!Our man of the match this week was Jayden for his improved effort and focus.
U8A v Newington
A cold morning for the teams first ever trip to Newington’s home ground and all still seemed to be asleep or hadn’t thawed out when the game kicked off. Took a while to get into the game, but the oranges at half time seemed to do the trick. Some amazing defence kept the score down with our boys hitting back to score 3 in the second half. Player of the match this week after a slow start was Jack. After coming out after half time he really got into the game and made some great breaks down the field resulting in two goals.
U8B vs Newington
An evenly matched game between these two teams. Everyone played superbly well. Our players are really starting to come together as a team and understanding the game.Lots of opportunities created and a some great attempts at goal. Well done Ermington U8B.
U9s
A warm sunny morning was perfect for a game of soccer.
After a busy first half in both defence and attack Ermo were 2-0 down at half time.
The second half saw the opposition score again and it was 3-0.
We then scored two goals and were looking good for a draw.
However the opposition scored near full time with the final score 4-2.
For the team to come back from 3-0 late in the game showed real character.
The 9's always try their best for the whole game which is a credit to them all.
Both goals by Liam and Michelle were great shots.

U11/5s v Winston Hills Win 4-1
The team played as a team. Looking for each other to pass and some great combinations between Jon, Jacob and Elie to score.
But the defence today was outstanding with Mackenzie heavily marking their main striker they had little options. Fraser stopping plenty of attacks and keeping the backs Ben and Seb tight. Joel and Ella worked hard in the mids all game and even had a few chances at scoring. Josh and Michael supported well and kept the pressure on. Jack is developing into a good striker and Jarod was amazing in goals again.
35/4 v Baulkham Hills Win 2-1
Fantastic game, still buzzing from the adrenaline while writing this.
The team as a whole combined well and each player marked their man to the hilt. They had two shots at our goal in the first half and about five in the second, compared to our multiple shots all game. We stifled their attack and with composed passing from backs to mids to forwards it was a great display of the teams growing skills.
35/6 V's St Michaels ( white) Win 4 - 0
35/6 V's St Michaels ( white) Win 4 - 0
From the start the keeper was strong, nothing has past him for weeks now and the determination shown is beginning to rub onto the players on the field and I must say its about time. Tony (Ronaldo) Kim put away his first hat trick and then a few players on our side tried to say one of them was not a goal. Tony sometimes we have to put up with the jealousy of others who are unable to score, a big well done from me. George was again the cement of the back line with a bit of help from Albert who had a wildwind 10 minutes in the backs. At half time Ralph was asked to pressure the keeper, the poor bugger didn't know what was about to hit him, the keeper at full time was nursing his ribs and hip, Ralph pressure him alright.
This was a win that felt like a win, we have a bye next week enjoy the break and lets give this comp a shake in the second rounds.
Well done to everyone.
AAL/4 v Lidcome Waratahs Loss 0-4
Both teams were evenly matched and would have been a win/draw if we had more girls there. All girls played a full game and the other side had subs
Erica - great first half goalie, saved a lot of goals and let go of some frustration at an aggravating spectator
Rach - great defence, a few tears but u pulled through to help goalie at end of the game
Scaife - 10 points to you for even showing up after ur bday night out!!! Great stopper position play
Helen - thanks to your advice of moving the team up, we called them offside numerous times
Steph - goalie second half... I didn't mean to let those 3 goals in, I just didn't want to run and have a chance of slipping over and getting mud on my shorts
Jane- great right mid playing, lots of attack and played well with Emma
Emma - aka speedy gonzales, moving the ball from mid field to the nets within seconds
Nicole - several attempts at shooting goals, awesome forward playing, worked well with Emma
Haylz - great covering all the positions of the field especially helping the backs with your "1-2" (whatever that is) and booting it to our forwards with your big kick
Tai-lei - you showed great foot skills today, and fast mid playing action
I hope I didn't forget anyone.
Other candy stripers, please... It's so important that we have subs, I understand it was a long weekend though :) but other than the first 2 games, we have 19 girls signed to the team and about 10 present for each of the games... I just can't wait til our little family is all back together, having fun and WINNING!!!!
Monday catchup has been cancelled so I'll see you all next week for some winning action!
Enjoy the rest of your long weekends!!
Xoxo
