Hi everyone,
Well, we had another big weekend with the mixed competition on Saturday and the Ladies competition on Sunday and next weekend will be another big one with our annual Under 8 Gala Day.
As mentioned above, we have our annual Under 8’s Gala Day being held this Sunday the 27th May, 2012 which includes a draw of ten (10) teams on the day and I would like to see as many of us as possible coming along to support and encourage our up and coming stars of soccer, so let’s all get behind our under 8’s by making it a big day for all. If you can help at all in the preparation of the day leading up to the event and on the day, then it would be most appreciated.
Due to the same parents coming up to help each week, which includes parents who are not rostered on who come in to help because of the short numbers of volunteers, I need to mention again that our canteen is our main source of income which helps us as a club to keep the fees as low as possible each year by raising money to support the running of the club. I would ask that when your team is rostered on for canteen duties that you make sure that you give some time on that day and support our vision of keeping your fees as low as possible. Once again, your support is very important in the continuation of the canteen being available to all throughout the season.
I would like to make a special mention of our AAL 4 team members who organised a roster for last Sunday rounds at George Kendall Reserve in the canteen and the ladies turned up and covered the operation of the canteen for the duration of the day.
I have also noticed a number of cards being issued by GDFRA referees to our players over the past few weeks and would ask that we look at the reasons for these cards and act swiftly at correcting our attitude towards other players, officials, managers and the game as a whole. Ermington United’s record last year was very good and we will endeavour at all cost to keep that good record and the good name of the club for those who will join the club in the future and for those who are currently members.
I would ask again, that you make an effort to send in your reports for your team and the events of the game so that our Dribble can provide all in our club with the stories of the week, whether the result were positive or negative we would all love to hear about it anyway.
Again, we would ask that the bottles be kept together in the provided trays and taken home by one person and brought back to each game day. The bottles can be kept by the player at the end of the season.
Thanks everyone for your time.
Regards,
Joseph Moses (President)
