Only two DRIBBLES to go in 2010, including this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We had mixed luck with the semis last week. Unfortunately, our 9/5's and 35/6's bowed out in extra time. Our 14/2's and our All age Ladies lost, but they get a second chance this weekend. The 10/3's won and have their chance this weekend to make the grand final, and finally our 12/5's won and now have the week off as they are straight through to next week's grand final - congratulations!!!!!!!
The 10/3's are at Girraween Park at 9.30am and the 14/2's are also at Girraween, but at 11.30am, so let's see if we can get out to support them on Saturday.
Our Ladies are playing at Rydalmere Park at 1.00pm on Sunday, and it would be great if they could get a good supporter base too.
On Junior Presentation Day - Sunday (12/9/10) we will be holding our Soccer AGM, prior to the commencement of the Presentation.
We are losing a few of our committee members this year, and I will be talking about them at the presentation, but can I please make people aware of a few available positions prior to the meeting, and if you would like to find out more about these positions ,please give me a call on 0418 436 753.
Secretary, Assistant Registrar,Comp Secretary, Uniform Officer and Groundsperson are just some of the committee positions we need to fill in 2011, so have a think about it and why not put your hand up on the day, or speak to me prior to the meeting and we can discuss what role you can play in the club in 2011.
Hope to see you at a game on the weekend - GO ERMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers
Wayne

U9/5 v Castle Hil RSL Loss 2-1 in extra time

Goal to Ermo!!
|
What a big season for this team. From one win in 2 seasons to a place in the top 4 in 2010. All the team stepped up about 10 notches and found a competitive spirit that was not there last year. We were so close in the Semi, leading for most of the match and then going down to a goal in extra time. Lets hope that we can take another step forward next year in what ever division we are in.
Thanks to Duglad for Coaching, you and Georgie will definately be missed. Nigel has done a great job too to get these kids to where they were at the end of the season.
Well done kids, see you all next season!!

U10/3 v St Michaels 1-1 4-3 win on penalties
What a game!! In a tight tussle our kids had field position for most of the game. An early goal was let in but this did not upset our confidence. Ethan showed why he is the go to goal keeper in the difficult games by saving a one on one chance with great timing in attacking the on coming St Michaels player. Our back did a supurb job in keeping the St Michaels team in their half with Jonty and Nathan combining showing great coordination in coming forward and dropping back at just the right times.
After an unfortunate incident in the goal square where a St Michales player picked up the ball and was shown a red card, Mitchell calmly evened up the score which remained until the end of regular time and then through two halves of extra time.
As with a few of our teams it was down to penalty shots to decide would survive the sudden death match. Ben, Jonty, MItchell, Olivia and Nathan did a great job in the first round of penalties which left the tally at 3-3, with one save by Ethan and a miss. The next shot was up to Ethan who snuck a shot under the body of the St Mchaels keeper and was left to save the next shot for the win.
Well done 10/3's now bring on Castle Hill.
O35/6 v Rouse Hill Rams Loss 1-2
The wind was a big a factor in the scrappy style of play today. Both teams were equal in skill and fitness but with the swirling wind

it was difficult to control the ball. With opposite numbers marking closely there were not too many easy opportunities to score. Although they scored first we never gave up and new it was only a matter of time before we equalled. The game then went to extra time where they scored. Today everyone gave a 100% effort as expected in a semi. Boffa finally got a total of 10 goals for the season but we will be expecting more next year. Though he has been MIA for a while Rod’s appearance was most welcome and he looked more nimble and agile than ever. As always a good team needs a good goalie and Spud fits the bill and our good defence is proven by our low Against tally. With new players adding some fire and zest we can only get better with a bit more familiarity and maybe practise. Special thanks to our strong support group whose yelling and taunting keeps us moving forward and drive us home.
