 Technical Area Information

PART 3 - PLAYING RULES AND MATCH PROCEDURES

Team Officials

i. At all matches, there shall be a minimum of two Team Officials (one Team Official from each team), wearing an appropriate vest as issued by the Association.

ii. The Team Officials shall introduce themselves to the referee before the commencement of the game.

iii. Team Officials‟ duties shall be to see that spectators, coaches, and managers, do not encroach on the sidelines or the pitch, and see that good order is maintained.

iv. Should any incidents arise out of a match that is for consideration by the MC, each Team Official shall complete a written report into such incidents for the MC.

v. The Team Officials shall appear at any inquiry as witnesses, if required.

vi. All Team Officials shall have attained the age of eighteen (18) years of age.

vii. Team Officials from both teams shall print their name and sign the Team Sheet, indicating they were in attendance for the game.

viii. If a Team Official is not provided, the game will not go ahead.

Named inter change players/substitutes and registered team officials permitted in Technical Area  no more than 8 persons

“The technical area relates to matches played in stadiums with a designated seated area for technical staff and substitutes as described below.

While the size and position of technical areas may differ between stadiums, the following notes are issued for general guidance:

• the technical area extends 1 m (1 yd) on either side of the designated seated area and extends forward up to a distance of 1 m (1 yd) from the touch line

• it is recommended that markings are used to define this area

• the number of persons permitted to occupy the technical area is defined by the competition rules

• the occupants of the technical area are identified before the beginning of the match in accordance with the competition rules

• only one person at a time is authorised to convey tactical instructions from

the technical area

• the coach and other officials must remain within its confines except in special circumstances, e.g. a physiotherapist or doctor entering the field of play, with the referee’s permission, to assess an injured player

• the coach and other occupants of the technical area must behave in a responsible manner”

U10-5 v Dundas Win 5-2
Fantastic effort, this win confirmed last week’s actions were intended. The team is proving the training drills and new positions are working, The fact we have a substitute again is also a benefit. The new look backline of Josh, Joel and Seb are working well along with the golden hands of Jarod in goals. Forwards Jack (1 goal) , Fraser and Netj are constantly worrying the goals. But the midfielders played the crucial role today with Emily out wide and the great effort by Ella, Jon (3 goals) ,Elie (1 goal) all chasing and supporting till the final whistle. 13/4 vs St Bernadette's Sat loss 3-0 (Sat)
Against a well drilled and co-ordinated team, our guys had talked themselves out of a win before the 1st half was over. At half time the score was 3-nil and that is the way it finished, our men had worked out to play fire with fire, and it was some bruised and battered players that come off in the second half, as this team has a tendency to do, we worried about things that where out of our control.

13/4 vs St Bernadette's Sun loss 3-2 (Sun)
Even though we lost again we scared the pants off the other side with Ermo coming home the stronger time, we showed that even though they had better ball players then us and where bigger than us and could run faster than us, they did not have the SPIRIT of the Ermington 13/4s. Everyone in this Ermo team hold your heads up high and be proud of yourselves. Outstanding effort shown by everyone.

35/5's V's St Michaels Loss 2-0
We came back to earth today with a thud after last weeks stirling draw against the leaders. With several of our players having flu not helping the cause. Both their goals where scored in the 1st half although they could have had many more, with only our scrambling defence stopping the ball from going in, at times it looked like the whole team was in front of the goal line, that was the level of desperation shown not to concede. Today also we had several cases of "nutties" which caused a bit of embarrassment and mirth with the team, we always need a laugh after the game. All year we have not been able to apply pressure to the opposition defence for a period of the time and today was no different, although we never stop trying. No training this week which means we come out guns blazing and legs closed next weekend.

AAL5 v Kellyville Loss 0-4
The long hours at training are finally starting to show. For a second week the team has played with purpose and positions are being held.
Passing is not a fluke and through balls are being tried with some success. This is still a work in progress and Rome wasn’t built in a day.
The seeds have been planted and in the not to distant future there is definitely a division champion team in the mix. Great team effort to keep them scoreless in the 2nd half as well as threaten their goals with some good counter attacks. Lets keep that momentum going and this Sunday show Pendle Hill what we can really do.
