Since we had a scheduled bye, arrangements were made for a dinner and board games night.

Our generous hosts Nardia and hubby Yarni  made sure there was enough to feed a small army.

The food was magnificent with plenty of fine wine to wash it down with.

We watched some Olympic events commenting on whether washboard abs helps the women

athletes do the house work better? Shots and board games do mix well together and a fun night was had by all. I think we all came out winners that night and will be looking to do the same against the undefeated division leaders this Sunday. “Go Candystripers”

We played against a team that was more determined than us.

At times it looked like we thought all we had to do was turn up to win.

Unfortunately too many simple mistakes and not enough hunger from players either challenging or chasing for the ball . After the fine form we have been displaying it was disappointing and frustrating. Hopefully we have learnt something from this game and can come back stronger.  

This was a frustrating game to play and probably too watch. Again we peppered the opposition goal mouth but could not score.

Again they had one chance at our goals and slot it in. Then we just shut off and opened the door for them to score some more.

Hot and cold play will not win a final and this team just can’t find it’s rhythm. Maybe because we have too many reserves and were just not used to this and the replacements disrupt the flow of the game. Definitely we did not mark tight enough nor back each other up. This is a team and we need to start playing like one each and every week. Let’s get our Mojo back and groove into the finals.

The first half of the game was very even and was reflected in the score at half time which was Nil all.

The Ermington team found their mojo in the second half with some fantastic defence by the whole team with good tackling and passing skills being shown as well. Both Alex and Rhys showed some great ball skills with several great attempts from Rhys with one finally finding the back of the net.

Alex, with his outstanding defensive play and two goals earned him player of the match.

Well done to the whole Ermington U8B team who all played well to get a well deserved 3-0 win.

Today we were up against the team from over the river. With
a full team fronting up there was lots of running knowing a rest wasn’t far
away. We went into the break two goals to the good but they came out strong in
the second half  and managed to claw only
one back one back . There was great play across the park and we almost  caught them on a break a few times.

Player of the match for being rock solid in defence and
making some important tackles was Morgan.
