Summer Season Breakup
Hiya everyone, and welcome to the final newsletter for the summer 09/10 season.
For me, the season went well and I'm proud of every one of our teams. You all did well and played great games, and although we didn't get into the finals you can all be proud of yourselves for a job well done (and lots of fun along the way).
Presentation day was yesterday and we had a great turn out for the BBQ, we even had a gate crasher who I dubbed 'Wodger'. Games were played, food was eaten and then we got down to the serious business of handing out the awards. The T Ball and U12 teams received their trophies and certificates. C & B grade also received their medallions, along with trophies for Player's Choice, Best Batter and Best Fielder. The winner are as follows:
B Grade

Player's Choice - Denni
C Grade
Best Fielder - Anne
Best Batter - Steph
Player's Choice - Niva
Steph also won the Redcliffe Association Best & Fairest for the the C Grade competion and was presented with a Gift Voucher from Leading Edge Sport ( www.leadingedgesports.com.au/ )
Coaches and scorers also received engraved glasses as a 'THANK YOU' from the club. A new award was presented, the 'Galaxy Star Award', and to my surprise, was awarded to me. The award is presented to a member of the club, whether they be a player, parent, supporter or helper. Personally, I think everyone involved with Galaxy is a 'Star' and deserves thanks, especially the people behind the scenes such as Lyanne, Sheryl, Anne and Sue (the committee), you all give your time willingly and often without thanks, so here's to you 'THANK YOU' (and please be here next year, we need you hehehe).
All in all, it was a great day and thanks to everyone who joined in to make the day the success that it was. I've include a few pictures from the BBQ, I hope you enjoy them.

Important Information
- Winter season will start in a few short weeks. Games are only played every 2nd Saturday, however, we play a double header. If you are interested in playing, please contact either myself, Nettie or Lyanne, for more details.
