HOW TO POST YOUR NEWSLETTER
While the process of posting your newsletter at UpdateTime is simple, there are a couple of key points we need to convey to you. Plus, an understanding of how we post newsletters should help you to use our system more profitably.
When you post your newsletter you do not have to notify anyone. The newsletter can still be valuable to you by virtue of any links you have added to it and how much traffic it attracts with the search engines.
If you have a list of subscribers then the smart thing to do is to notify them.
1. Posting to a list of subscribers
So you have added emails to the subscribers list and some, most or all of them have agreed to receive your newsletters.
Your challenge is keeping the subscribers which means being careful to only notify those that will find your latest publication most interesting.
You can do this by creating a sub-list and adding or removing different subscribers based on their interests. Oh, and if you don’t know their interests then you should ask them.
To notify your whole list or a sub list (or selection of sub lists) you simply need to tick the list or lists you would like to use then click the post newsletter button.
After that we send an email to each subscriber with a link to your update inviting them to view it. If you add your own email address as a subscriber you can view the notification.
2. Subscribers v. Viewers
What all newsletter publishers need is viewers. Simply by notifying your subscribers does not make them viewers. The subscriber must click the link in the email notice they receive to view your newsletter. When they do this they become a viewer and will be added to your viewer count, plus add a charge to the advertiser.
