After a long drive and a quick look at the swamp which is Aquinas’ ground the guys prepared themselves for the win they needed to be able to make finals. After a shaky start in the first quarter the trobers got away to a handy lead of 5 goals. Tim Mawdsley booted a handy 6 goals to wrap up the clubs leading goal kicker award, congratulations mate. In the last half the trobers went through the motions extending their lead to 3 quarter time with Ben Dales-Sutton playing well at half forward but unfortunately not hitting  the score board like previous weeks. Our midfield dominated for most of the day with Ben Canton shifting in their as an impact player. As like most of the year our backline played well with Tim Henderson locking in the centre half back position for the finals with a  good performance. In the end LaTrobe were worthy winners and have luckily sneaked into finals with two teams above them on the ladder losing to allow us to slip into 4^th position. Hopefully the trobers can go all the way just like the Reserves team of 2006.
