Sunday Training Session & Women's Game
Due to the Queen's Birthday weekend bye we will won't be training on Tuesday the 2nd of June. We will be holding a Training Session this Sunday the 31st of May instead. It will be from 10:30am to 12 and after we will be putting on a BBQ Breakfast and some beers to watch the Women's match. We expect all players to attend this training session like any other normal Tuesday or Thursday. Thursday training will be as normal.
The VWFL allows you to drink during the game so the bar will be open with drink specials throughout the day. We encourage everyone to come down for a look.

Presidents Report Post Round 6
Another successful fortnight for the club, the seniors and reserves are still undefeated. Our Under 19’s had their second win for the year and the GIRLS chalked up their first win ever in the V.W.F.L. The club held a very successful family and friend’s day against Eley Park two weekends ago. Many parents made long trips to see their boys play and it was great to see the clubrooms packed after the senior match.
Not too many would know this but the Saturday of the Family and friends day marked the end of National Volunteers Week (NVW). It’s not until you get involved in a club at committee level that you realise just how valuable volunteers are.
Volunteers make an extraordinary contribution to Australian society. If you are a player or a supporter, then this week could provide you the motivation to consider how you can contribute more to your club.
The theme for the last NVW was ordinary people, extraordinary contribution. At the beginning of my tenure as President I was sent an information pack from Football Victoria containing documents outlining the best way to go about running a football club. Inside this pack was a job description for each of the volunteers required at any club – all 38 of them. I quickly closed the folder feeling a little daunted by the task ahead there is no way I was going to be able to find 38 people to fill each of the roles.
The value to the La Trobe University Football Club of volunteering is immense and irreplaceable. One of the best ways to demonstrate the importance of volunteering to the Australian community is to ensure volunteers' contributions are recognised, valued and accounted for.
In my time at La Trobe I have always witnessed guys that have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help the club in any manner they could. This year has been no different, so I would like to take the opportunity to thank all our volunteers (you know who you are) for their contribution so far this year. Your contribution to the La Trobe University Football Club does not go unnoticed.
Good Luck to all on the weekend
Brad
