A little disappointing on the weekend, after two wins the previous weekend. While we finished we two losses, the general consensus is that we were unlucky. Our game against top placed Mt Colah with only one loss for the season was probably our best of the season.

We were certainly in the game and had them agitated, we hit the wood work and had a couple of very close chances with headers. Both Mt Colah’s goals came from set pieces, and they didn’t ever get on top.

Sunday was an unlucky result. Lane Cove West received a dodgy penalty which Phil was unlucky not to save. While the score was 1 – 0 at half time we were more dominant and unlucky to be behind. By the end of the game LCW probably only had 2 shots at goal and had 3 goals. We put their defence under much more pressure, but only came away with one goal.

Berowra had a loss with LCW on Saturday but a draw yesterday with West Pymble yesterday to enable them to move to 4th, and thus  we have moved to 5th.
 
Arrangements for the finals are still being made and a decision about having a traditional knock out finals series or a politically correct round robbin is under consideration. Stranger things have happened!
