Defensive Strength
Great Sportsmanship
Defences were in control across ladies and mens competitions this week with three nill-all draws, and six other matches decided by the smallest of margins.
Matches are being played in full vigour but management are pleased with the family friendly environment found on Monday and Wednesday evenings at the St Ignatius College, Riverview. "The six-a-side competition is being played in good spirit and sportsmanship", said organiser Luke White.
The Blue Witches sitting atop the ladies competition will be tested by the 3rd placed White Witches in the coming week's fixtures. The 2nd placed Panthers should have too much class for the Primadonnas, clearly a "mis-nomer" at this stage of proceedings!
Considerable class exists low down in the mens competition with no less than 9 teams out of 17 still yet to secure a win including LCFC Barcelona who find themself in finals contention in the blue division.
The LCFC Milan team secured the biggest win of the round against the St Michael's Old Boys 3-0.
Enjoy your football.
