Hi everyone
This weekend see this first of our big evenets fo rthe year, Zone Multi's.
They are at Gipps Road Sporting Complex, Greystanes (Click for Google Map) and start at 8.30am. For those that have entered please be there no later then 8am as the first events will be called shortly after that.
For all the parents, we will need your help through out the day to ensure taht the event runs smoothly. Jobs that need to be done will include, Setting up aour area in the morning (from about 7am!!!), Time Keeping, Place Judging, Helping kids to get to their events & cleaning up our area once the event is finished.
We we ask people to help out at events it will only be for about an hour at a time but it we get stuck we may need people to do a couple of duties during the day.
It is a great day for the kid so the more help we can get the more fun it will be and the smooter the program will run.
Please make sure that you are in full uniform, including IGA and age patches as you will not be allowed to compete if you are not.

Uniforms - All those who are now registered should be in uniform as soon as possible. This includes numbers, IGA patches (top right) and age patches (bottom left). Uniforms are on sale each week at the club house if you don't have one yet.
Officials Course - We had two people attend the Officials course for field events. Looks like we will now be calling on Fiona Mitchell and Liz Lorik to do some officiating!!! Thanks girls for spending your own time to learn more about this sport!!
Track etiquitte - Friday nights are very busy and everybody needs to be aware of what is going on around them. Before you cross any competition area, circular track, long jump run ups, High Jump area or the throws area make sure you look to see what is happenine. There have been a few near misses already and we don't want to see one of the tots or younger siblings cleaned up by a senior athlete.
Upcoming Events
State Relays - We are in the process of finalising the events that we would like to enter teams in. At the moment it looks like we will hav around 16 teams entered. Once we have inalised the teams we will send out notifications to everyone who has been selected informing them of what teams they are in and an indictation of training nights for the running relay teams. Ian will be walking around tonight to discuss a few of the teams to determine what our final entries will look like.
Garth Robinson Intercentre Competition - Our Zone runs a competition across the season where the winning club wins the Garth Robinson Shield. The competition is run across three Wednesday nights, 19th Oct, U9/11/12, 2nd Nov, U7/8/10 & 30th Nov, U13/14/15/17. Further details are available at the clubhouse for anyone who is interested in competing. The dates and locations are listed below.
