The Caboolture Lions are an AFL club supporting 2 senior, 7 junior and 2 veterans teams. We were established in 1987, and continue at the existing facilities at Coopooroo Dve Caboolture.
We find it difficult to compete with other local sporting clubs for sponsorship, eg rugby league and soccer, as AFL is more of a 'second' sport in Qld. But in saying this, we are implimenting a major drive over the coming years to attract more juniors to the club, as we see this as the future our club needs to go to maintain survival.
We are also moving into a new facility in 2013, sponsored largely by local council and Qld Government, as they see the need to grow the game in the area. The new facility will be second only to the Brisbane Lions as a modern, up to date sporting complex. As you can well imagine the costs involved with moving and setting up a new complex are enormous.
Our major drive is to find sponsors large enough and ideally away from our local business district that are able to commit to 3-5 year sponsorship deals, that we see as very competetive and advantageous to both parties when looked at as a whole on what is offered with our new facility.
