The DUBBO BATON TWIRLERS have been formed for 20 years..I have been a coach there from the Beginning.
We have had a number of students through our program.
The sport of Baton twirling involves Dancing, Gymnastics along with twirlling a Baton all at the same time.This teaches co-ordination and discipline in a fun environment from a very early age.
Our club caters for athletes from the a 4 through to 30. We also cater for special needs students. ( It is very good for there co-ordination and confidence.)
Being in the Central West it means our team of girls (which is 30 members at the moment.) have a lot of travelling involved.
The parents and the girls are always looking for ways of raising funds to help each other out and make sure all athletes are able to attend competitions. 2010 alone sees the Twirlers travelling to Sydney and then anto Rockhampton in Queensland.
