For girls 7 years old and over, Synchronized Swimming is a great alternative to traditional swimming lessions. Golden Fish Synchronised Swimming club was started just over 12 months ago by Australias National Coach, Anna Nepotacheva and Team Captain Tarren Otte. Anna and Tarren represented Australia at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing where Australia competed its most successful Synchronized Swimming Olympics campaign!
The club is based at Victoria University, Footscray and currently has 10 competitive swimmers of varying ages.
Anna and Tarren work with the girls 4 times a week and are currently working on a variety of individual, duet and team routines to take to the National Championships, in Sydney at Easter.
With only 3 clubs in Victoria and approximately 200 competitive synchro swimmers nation-wide, the experience and dedication of our club coaches and the committment of our girls and their parents, the swimmers stand a real future chance of representing their country as part of a World, Commonwealth or Olympic team.
To this end the girls need as much competition experience as possible and exposure to other teams, skills and techniques. Much of this competion happens either interstate or overseas and understanably costs a great deal in travel and accomodation. That's where we hope YOU can help. Give our swimmers the opportunity to realise their potential by sponsoring us TODAY.
