Hi my name is Jim Reid. I am one of the founding members of the Shark Bay Speedway club Inc. we have been operating since 1984.
We are located 830km's. north of Perth, Western Australia at Denham, a tourist/fishing town just 25km's. west of the world famous Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort, where tourist from around the world come to see and interact with the wild dolphins.
Our speedway has just held their 23rd. "Far Western Championship" event which had 100+ competitors, competing in 85 events at our one day event.
Spectators and competitors come from all over Australia for this event, tagged as the biggest country speedway event in Western Australia. The club has always been successful and has continued to grow, but as the town is small and we only hold one real money making event annually, major improvements are financially limited. This being the case we have decided to implement a plan that we believe is a world first in motor sport, it is politically and environmentally sound and sure to receive much publicity.
Part of the success of this plan relies on us having the capitol funding to implement the development of this plan and also to upgrade our facility to cater for the events and increased numbers of competitors and spectators anticipated from the exposure this will bring.
We are looking for a sponsor who in return for their support will receive full and exclusive naming rights to our facility, major events and the media exposure associated with “our world first plan”.
We estimate that initial costs involved in facility upgrade to be $250k, and the promotion and development of our world first plan $50k. Total immediate funds required $300k. This amount would give our sponsor 3 years exclusive naming rights.
